ASB: Leadership

Roy Cloud's Associated Student Body (ASB)

Advisor: Mrs. Huelman & Ms. Rivoli

The award winning Roy Cloud ASB (or Associated Student Body) is the student governing body run by the Roy Cloud Senate and supported by the Roy Cloud House of Representatives. ASB activities promote leadership, planning skills, and school spirit. Individual classrooms may present concerns for discussion or consideration through their classroom representatives. The ASB Senate members are part of a seventh period leadership class.

Applications are accepted for Commissioners and Senator positions and the elections for ASB officers are completed at the end of the school year to set up the Senate for the following school year. Students in grade eight can run for the following positions:

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

ASB roles also include the Commissioner of Activities, Commissioner of Recognition, Spirit Commissioner, Commissioner of Communications, Athletic Commissioner, Publicity Commissioner, Commissioner of Academics, Community Service Commissioner, and Sixth, Seventh, Eighth Grade Senators. The Senate organizes school-wide events such as: Lunchtime Activities, Spirit Days, Academic Rallies, Second Harvest Food Drive, One Warm Coat collections, Walk to School Day, and the Cancer Awareness Day.

The House of Representatives, also known as the Assembly, consists of one representative from each homeroom (K-8), the Associated Student Body Vice President, the Associated Student Body Secretary, and the Activities Director(s).
