English Language Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

The English Learner Advisory Council (ELAC) is a committee that provides families of Emerging Multilingual Learners (students learning English as an additional language) with an opportunity to learn about and provide input on programs and services that support their children's success.

At Roy Cloud, we are currently seeking parents and guardians who are interested in helping establish our ELAC. This committee serves as an important partnership between families and the school, ensuring that the voices of our Emerging Multilingual Learner community are represented.

In addition to establishing an ELAC, Roy Cloud reviews the progress, needs, and supports for our Emerging Multilingual Learners during our monthly School Site Council (SSC) meetings to ensure we are continually monitoring student achievement and strengthening our programs.
